Tarot Spread: Trip Planning and Travel

I’m planning a trip to Sicily next month, and right now I’m making decisions about tours and places to visit. Feeling overwhelmed with choices, I decided to combine two things I love (travel and tarot) to see if the cards could help me plan. I developed a 9-card spread shaped like an airplane, and I am really excited with the results. Here are some insights I gained from doing a reading for myself using this spread.
🔮 7 of Cups: stop feeling overwhelmed and scattered. Make a choice and know that it’s a great choice for this trip.
🔮 The Hierophant: include learning opportunities on this trip—I’m going to book a cooking class in addition to wine tastings.
🔮 The Tower and the Page of Wands: leave behind the worries of what could go wrong and enthusiastically approach all new experiences.
🔮 Queen of Pentacles: enjoy the earthly comforts that Sicily has to offer—food, wine, and all the natural beauty.
🔮 10 of Pentacles: bring home a souvenir for my home that will bring me joy when I see it and add to the comfort of my space.

A few tips for using this spread:

-the first card acts as an anchor and allows you to consciously choose (and manifest) how you want to feel on the trip. I narrowed it down to four cards then chose from those.

-shuffle the cards and select cards 2-9 without looking at them first. For card 2, I used the card I pulled to develop an affirmation. When planning a trip, I tend to get overwhelmed with all the options and want to do and see everything! Since I had chosen the 7 of Cups, it was simple to create an affirmation about making confident choices and believing that whatever I chose would work out for my highest good on this trip.

-with cards 3 and 4, baggage/what to pack can be actual items or they can be attitudes, beliefs, or worries.

-cards 8 and 9 are reminiscent of the Celtic Cross spread with one crossing the other

If you try this spread, please let me know how it works for you!
